About

ffffHallo, og velkommen til min hjemmeside! Those of you in the Society for Creative Anachronism may know me as Lady Mathilde Huldsdotter, and for those of you unfamiliar with the SCA, I hope that this blog will aid you in whatever research you are wanting to accomplish.

As a historical reenactor, my persona is a spinner, weaver, and dyer living in Gotland (specifically the city of Visby), some time between the 10th and 11th Centuries. My goal is to learn as much about the methods with which fibers and dyes were used in that location during what is commonly referred to as the “Viking Age”.

This blog will mainly be maintained for research purposes, to document sources and texts that I will refer to in my continuing quest to educate myself in my fields of interest. Please feel free to use any of the information used here (with proper citation and credit given where due, of course).

Here is a brief chronology of my involvement in the SCA:
2013.07.13 – Joined the SCA, A Simple Day in the Country
2016.01.30 – Award of Arms for excellence in Arts and Sciences, Festival of Maidens

Yours in service,
Lady Mathilde Huldsdotter, AoA
